Community-first
Every itinerary directs guests, fees and meals to Ivatan families and DOT-licensed local operators.
About
Visit Batanes started as a small Ivatan-led collective in 2014, helping respectful travelers find slow, meaningful experiences across Batan, Sabtang and Itbayat.
We exist to make Batanes accessible to thoughtful travelers — and to protect what makes it rare. Our network of licensed Ivatan guides, drivers and homestays follows a shared code: small groups, fair pay, no environmental shortcuts.

What we believe
01
Every itinerary directs guests, fees and meals to Ivatan families and DOT-licensed local operators.
02
We follow conservation guidance from the Batanes Cultural Office. No drone flights over stone villages, no off-trail trampling.
03
Quoted prices include all entrance fees, environmental fees and boat fares. No upsells or surprise add-ons.
04
Tours are paced for sunrises and sunsets, not photo dashes. Most days end before dinner with time to wander.
Behind the site
Founder & Creator
Jayson Pablo founded Visit Batanes to share the magic of the Ivatan islands with thoughtful, slow travelers. Working alongside licensed Ivatan guides and local homestays, he curates trips that respect the heritage and quiet rhythm of Batanes.
The site is independently run, with content reviewed by Ivatan partners on the ground. Every tour booking inquiry passes through Jayson's vetted local operators — no agency middlemen, no upcharges.
Voices from our guests
“Our 4-day trip felt like stepping into a postcard. The guide knew every story behind each hill — from Pacita Abad's artwork to the Vayang sunset, it was magical.”
